Cpetve leagues, MRFA continues to nurture talent and passion for the sports.

spae er Wo action-packed davs. With over 25 corporate teams expected to compete, he
ament promises thrilling rugby and fierce competition with the expertise of two foreign
referees for the lst time in it's history.
Ine toumament draw is scheduled for September 8, 2025, oficially kicking off preparations for
one of Sn Lanka's most anticipated rugby events, Mastercard continues its support as the title
Sponsor, joined by several event partners and co-sponsors who help make this prestigious
tournament possble
The 2025 edition will feature three competitive segments:
Cup Championship- Open to an unlimited number of club players, showcasing the best
rugby talent in the country.
Bowl Championship- Allows three club players per team, with only two permitted on the
field at any ime
Shield Championship- Permits two club playes per team, with one allowed on the field
during matches.

2024 Highlights
The 52nd edition of the Mastercard Mercantile Rugby s concluded successfully at the CR&EC
Grounds in Colombo on September 27-28, 2024. The toumament showcased thrilling
nerformances acrOss all segments, with the following teams emerging victorious:
Cun Winner:Jokn Keells Holdings A (JRH A) defeated Cizens Development Bank
CDB) with a commanding 27-0 victory in the final. JKH A's triumph was powered by
standout performances from Kavindu Perera and Heshan Jansen, who each scored twice
in the first half, followed bya second-half try fom Janidu Dilshan.
Plate Winner:Pearl Beach overcame Sampath Bank 39-12.
Shield Winner:Moresand secured a 21-5 win against Ceylinco.
Bowl Winner:Brandix outclassed John Keells Holdings B 28-10.
The event celebrated the spirit of corporate rugby and highlighted the growing competitiveness
among mercantile teams in Sri Lanka.
