1. Introduction
The Asia Rugby Emirates Sevens Series is Asia Rugby's premier men's and women's national
sevens circuit, established in 2009 and held annually.
The 2025 Series features two legs, expanding participation to 15 national teams in both men's
and women's divisions (up from 8 in previous years).
Colombo proudly hosts the Second Leg on 18th & 19th October 2025 at the historic Race
Course Grounds.

Launched in 2009 the Asia Rugty Sevens Series was oreated to identify the continent's top
sevens nations and serve as a qualification pathey to gobal tounaments such as the World
Rugtby Sevens Serie and Olympic qualers
The series has been heid annualy, adapting through pandemic years, and continues to grow in
participation and popularity across Asia
