set to take place from March uth to 14ih, 2026. This four-day, 450+ km charity cycling

Fourkded in 2017 ty the UK-registered charity. Friends of Manipay Hospital FOMH), Ride

for Ceylon began w th just six dedicatedcyclists arnid has blossorned into a glpbal sports

lourisrn movernerL It allracts partcipanis frorn naliors including the UK Australia, New

Zealard, France, Arner ca, Carada, and Sri Lanka. In2024 alorne, the event proudly hosted

75 international participants, showcasing Sri Lanka's cul:ural richness and hospitality.

The initiative was co-founded by Dr Jayantha Amold, Senior Consultant in

Gastroernterology a. Ealing Hospilal. and Mr Arandan Arnold. Senior Partner at BBK

Partrership Chartered Accountants, af:er they discovered their childhood hospita. had

closed ard was atbardoned in 2004.

The core purpose rernains urwavering, which is lo raise funds or the restoralion and

operalicn of the Manipay Greern Merorial Hospilal ari the development of t'ne Irnsitute

of Medical Sciences (IMS), FOMH's local delivery partrer. Te hospita. operales ona ror-

profil basis, provdirg essenial servces, including free care fo neurodiverqent chiltrer,

ensuring maximum impact. Infrastructure developmernt funded by FCMH also helps kaep

covering more than 10,000 km across 12 countries, spoke in anticipation of the event, 'It is

Registration for the event is now closed, havng secured 85 dedicated cyclists for the

upcoming challenge. However. the organisers are open to disCussing potential

commercial sponsorship opportunities for the event.
